Programs live GoLive, Dreamweaver, Flash may be the programs that you are looking for. They are all Adobe progams. They have more flexibility than FrontPage.
The price of the above programs are significantly more than FrontPage.

Learn CGI scripting also xml. There are a lot of web sits with examples of cgi scripts and examples of xml code. They are the current languages of the best web sites on the net.

Maybe using another WYSIWYG editor. You could also try to learn some simple HTML to do some things.
