it's just so annoying that belief is talked about as though it's true. it's only real/true for that person no one else. that doesn't make it a fact.

so please stop referring to your belief as though you've found the scientific proof for the existence of god.

also please stop spouting dogma, we've heard it all before and it's just so inane.

Both sides need to stop.

We have no proof for either argument.

Yes, we have science, but what exactly made all that "evidence" and the Big Bang.

Perhaps some sort of deity. Or perhaps it was just nature. We don't know.

There is no possible way in which a human could 'see' a quark. Nor could one see a black hole - though you can always gaze at Cygnus X-1 and validly claim to be looking at one.

But anyone who would stack up the evidence for Black Holes and quarks alongside the delusions of someone looking into a mirror certainly hasn't quite grasped the fact/belief thing yet.

There's a lot more evidence for the Black Hole at Sag A*, despite there being nothing visible, than of any divine handiwork visible in a mirror.

(The thing in my mirror looks neither divine nor scientific, to be honest.)

Have you ever seen a quark? Other than computer simulation? Seen a black hole?

Seems to me you take belief as fact as well.

OK. Most of the 10,000+ religions are false. They don't base their teachings on the Bible, but subvert and twist the real meaning of the Bible for their own ends. That makes those beliefs not stand up to scientific or reasoned scrutiny.

Things the Bible really says however, do stand up, in fact, has to wait for science to catch up at times. The Bible does say there is only one true religion of the Bible and it's author. It is up to each person to seek and find.

"scientific proof" is a term we use when we are looking for something to support a theory about nature, *based* on the scientific method.
Sadly the scientific method only uses 2 of the 4 dimensions of the human being: physical & mental, leaving the emotional and spiritual side appart. Now, for a lot of subjects, this method is really good. But for *spiritual* matters, it just cannot be applied, its like using a ruler to meassure who grateful i am for your question :)

Since you have nothing to add to anything that could be called religion or spirituality, I would have to assume you want the philosophy form instead, where mortals can praise each other and try to impress each other and vie for dominance over one another. That forum is two blocks down the street and take a left and a right and a left - well you can always ask directions.

Catholics do not need "scientific" proof for God's existence. We do not need a sample His DNA, or have a glimpse of His features to believe He lived on Earth. We have faith that He is alive and always with us because of the things He has done. Science believes only what is seen. With faith, you do not need to see to believe.

ct is a good example why that will never happen. Because they actually think looking in the mirror is proof.

Okay... I've got Scientific Proof for the "Existence of God"...

... go look in the mirror... You are Gods wonderous creation... and he loves you...

Bite me, I don't have to do anything you tell me to do.

It is fact just because you don't believe it doesn't change a thing and I am not the only one who believes it.
