The Mormon religion was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ and told that all churches and their creeds were an abomination. Joseph set out to impose a brand-new religion that claims to be the “only true church on earth.” The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible. Christians have no reason to believe that the Bible is not true and adequate. To truly believe in and trust God means to believe in His Word. And all Scripture is inspired by God, which means it comes from Him (2 Timothy 3:16).

It's funny, because the older I get, the more I realize not all religions can be false. I am LDS, and I love the church. There are some things I agree with, and other things that I don't agree with. That's how it goes, though. I have been taught to believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit just like any other Christian. As for the so-called "strange cultish" things our church does, they're really great things that I think can make your life better. I mean, alcohol and drugs aren't healthy, pre-marital sex isn't for everyone, and going to church on Sundays never hurt anyone. We do believe in God, we are NOT a fake religion, and we just have high standards. Not everyone in the church HAS to keep them, because not everyone chooses to.
Like I said, when I was young, I used to think there was ONE right church and the rest of them were completely wrong. Now I realize there are more RIGHT religions--that you can take pieces from each of them and form your own beliefs.

Joseph Smith claimed God said all Christians were wrong their creeds abominations ... Writings of Joseph Smith Pearl of great price. I a not aware that they ever renounced This belief. That being said I feel no hatred towards them just strong theological disagreement. The belief that we can become God flies in the face if scripture. God declares he will share his glory with no man. Yet the they use the quote where Jesus said have ye not read ye are gods to try and defend this belief. The problem is the new testament refers to false gods as gods none the less. And even Satan is referred to as the God of this world. If men could become Gods that would make God the liar and Satan the Truth teller in the original Adam & Eve temptation. Remeber Satan told them if you eat of the frit you shall become as God. It would seem Satan is stil using this same temptation to try and lure people.

Sadly, the Mormon religion has very little to do with real Christianity. It does qualify as a cult, with some very bizarre beliefs (like marrying the dead). Joseph Smith had an amazing imagination, to say the least.

dbu - Mormons have self belief in the daddy, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We in basic terms have not got self belief that they are all one and a similar being. we predict of that God the daddy is a separate man or woman from the Son and the Holy Ghost. the full concept of the Trinity wasn't even created till some 3 hundred advert on the Council of advantageous. there is not any point out ever of the Trinity in the Bible, previous or New testomony. as quickly as we pray to God, we pray to Heavenly Father, in the call of Jesus Christ. no count in case you think of it is an identical God or no longer, i will't decide for you. yet i think in Jesus Christ of Galilee, son of Mary, Savior of all mankind. Is that a similar God as you? edit - Morning megastar has relatively some incorrect suggestions in her placed up and would not wisely state what we, as LDS, have self belief.

There is a warning in the Holy Bible (Revelations 22: 18, 19 That says nothing is to be added or subtracted to the Bible, yet Mormons do.
They are deceptive in telling people their religion is based on the "Holy Bible", and after a short time they place their bible on top of the Holy Bible.
They are nice people, but being "nice people" is not a prerequisite for salvation, only Christ is.

I'm not a LDS, so I can't honestly say i beliebve they are right. I can't say I acknowledge anyone who doesn't believe in the Trinity as Christian, as well, it makes very little sense to name yourself after a servant, and not a master.
no offense mormons, but I view you similar to the Pharisees in one aspect: the book of mormon came about similarly to how the Talmud came out, and Jesus wasn't fond of the Talmud, which the Pharisees created believing they had authority to add onto God's word.
I wouldn't call them hypocrites. a hypocrite is someone who sets up a fasaud, or who can't practice what they preach. they don't seem to do this.

We believe in God the Eternal Father, in His Son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.
So yes, our religion has everything to do with God, our Heavenly Father. He created us, we are His children.
The world ending? Well, of course the Mormons believe it will end "their" way and the Christians believe it will end "their" way...as with every other religion...
Guess we will all just have to wait and see!

Read the Book of Mormon and then tell me that Mormons don't believe in Jesus, that he is the Messiah, the son of God, the Savior, that he is divine, etc.

We are The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. If you read the Bible, and athe Book of Mormon, you would see we are Christian.
However, you seem to have made up your mind on this question, so I odn't know what I can say that will convince you otherwise.
