do you think he is just such a lousy actor that it was the only gig he could get so he thought, "What the hell, a buck is a buck?"

Tebone? Are you sure he was an Atheist, he married his wife in Cheektowaga, New York in St. Barnabas Church. I don't think an Atheist would get married in a church. Unless Kirk was lying about being an Atheist too? Bad Kirk, no banana.

My bet is that when he was a lot younger, he was sort of jaded and didn't really believe in anything, but I also doubt that he was a TRUE atheist. He's a true born again now, though. You can SEE that.
I was actually sort of irritated when he was saying that he used to be an atheist and an "evolutionist", because (again) I doubt he was a true atheist, and I KNOW he couldn't have been much of an evolutionist, considering that ridiculous mess of an argument he made against evolution. Maybe he sort of bought into the idea when he was young, but he OBVIOUSLY never really knew exactly what the theory SAYS. If he and Ray C had taken FIVE minutes to research on the web what the theory of evolution is about, they would have known that their crocoduck argument was going to make them look like idiots.

No he is truly born again. Think about how other male child actors turned out in life. I would have been worried myself. I believe in god and I did not used to. But there has to be something out there linking everything together. So why not god then. I am not a bible thumper and seldom go to church. But the fact that god can not be disproved does not mean he was not real.

He most likely is, but the problem is that Ray Comfort (the founder of Way of the Master) seems to think that only his way of sharing the Gospel is the right way. And that's why most people I know who follow this way of teaching come across as almost self-righteous.

no he's born again because he was still on top of his career when he chose God, many people n the T.V. industry got very mad and hurt by him because he no longer would fellowship with them....any ways I was never a fan of the guy, but I think his ministry's OK

edit:look up his biography I'm pretty sure he married after he was a Christan not before.

I think that's a rude question. I have watched many of his shows and as far as I know he is genuine. Why would anyone think differently? He is doing a wonderful job for Christ. I admire him and his wife. He could still make 'worldly' movies and TV if he wanted, but he instead dedicates his life and talents to God.

I'm sure he is classified as Born Again. But he probably got the easy path, just like Scientology does for celebrities. He's surrounded by hanger-on's who hope to cash in on this notoriety.
