It's not like he's won any championships yet.I respect him as a person but maybe he jumped the gun a little.

Because he thought that being in charge meant he'd miraculously have better cars with better engines which would help him win. Unless he wanted to buy cars from someone else (which was a possibility), being in charge of DEI really wouldn't have helped him get a better car.

Plus money can't hurt

Junior would want DEI because it was the basically part of the 3 reasons Dale built DEI, for D.Jr, Kerry and Kelly. Everyone basically knows that Dale Jr, would be getting control of DEI soon had his father lived, so I don't get why Teresa is trying to delay the process. I guess being a money-driven b**** makes you that way.

That is exactly why he wants control of the company. He wanted his father's company to be one of the elite racing teams and he thought that his step-mom was not taking the company in the right direction. The way she is doing things he would have never won a championship with DEI. At least if he goes to RCR or HMS or Gibbs he will a chance. He did not jump the gun at all he made right decision for himself.

The reason he has not won any championships is because Teresa has no idea what she is doing. He wanted majority ownership so that he would be able to control what happened and what decisions were made for him and his team. She may have been "partners" with Dale Sr., but she has done nothing to improve that company since he died. He built that company to pass down to his children and she was trying to make Dale Jr buy it from her. That is just wrong in my book.

I agree with jules. Also, this company was started for ONE reason: Dale Jr. His father wanted to give him a good start in his racing career. It was his legacy to give to his son.

Theresa is a stupid, greedy, money hungry *****!!! She does not want what is best for DEI and she is not showing any respect for her late husband. Do you think any of this would be happening if Dale Sr was still alive?

The reason Dale Jr is not winning championships is because of Theresa and how she is ruining DEI.

I think he wanted control just to get it away from Teresa. He is the companies namesake, he is the companies money maker not Teresa, and she hasn't put the money you know she is making off of junior back into the company to make it better. everybody can say Hendricks can throw more money at the problem but when dei sells more merchandise than any other company out there combined then you are making enough to improve the race cars.I think she has made enough money of off junior because she certainly isn't putting it back into the company and then she has the nerve to try and sell him 51 % he has already paid for that in full. That's just my opinion.

because his dad started dei with his blood and guts. you realize that dei stands for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. he should have control of the company and teresa should have nothing to do with it. how many championships has she won? instead she'll run dei into the ground. what a shame.

The DE in DEI is his dads initials. Jr. has followed in his dads and grandads footsteps, why wouldn't he want to own the company his dad started. After all,, racing is Jr's life, it's all he has ever known.
Watching his step mom ruin his dad's dreams must not have been easy.

Because its the company that his dad started and it would be nice for Jr to gain ownership of DEI
