Pure alcohol is too harsh for your skin.
Try a toner w/ salicylic acid or witch hazel. ex) http://www.neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_44.asp?lProductLineID=13

Alcohol wipes can dry out the skin and lead to further irritation. I would recommend a non-alcoholic toner...put it on a cotton ball and it removes the dirt and oil w/out damaging your skin...Aveeno makes a great toner and so does Almay which you get in the makeup aisle. Of course, if you have the money, Prescriptives makes an amazing skin regimine that includes a toner.

Whatever you do, NO TOOTHPASTE. The alkali in it will make your skin worse. Its not designed for you face for a reason. Try benzyl peroxide containing products (you may need a doctor's persciption). Salicylic acid products are also very good. If your spots are mild to medium severity you can still go to a doctor and they will give you something for it. If you prefer natural, try steaming your face:) Other proven natural cures are tea tree oil and witch hazel. With witch hazel your skin will feel incredible cleansed:) I get asked these questions a lot as I work in a chemist, there are a lot of products that can damage your skin in the long term, alcohol isn't great for it but spot scarring is a lot worse.

Yes and No its good b/c it removes a lot of dirt and oil but its bad b/c it leaves skin really dry. Try a nice toner. Sea Breeze is good for going a cheaper route but if ur willin to spend a little more clinque is really good and the have different formulas for different skin types.

using alchohol on your face is almost never good. it will actually dry out your skin and make it produce more oil and most often that leads to breakouts. neutrogena makes a good cleanser for most skin types. oil-free acne wash. but they make a good deep cleanser too.
