where i write shave my arms change to shave/wax my arms.

I am a woman with significant hair on my fore arms AND I am also a mother, so I can relate to why you feel uncomfortable about the appearance of your arms, and I can also relate to what your mother will feel when you approach her. Take heart!
I am assuming where you did not state "arm pits" or "under arms" that you mean your fore arms? Shaving or waxing your fore arms is really not a good idea. Doing it once gets you into a trap of doing it for the rest of your life - or ending up with very furry arms! There are alternatives. Instead of asking your mom if you can shave or wax your fore arms why not talk with her "woman to woman"? Approach the topic with maturity, dignity and respect, and I am sure your mom will be open and willing to help you investigate your alternatives. You may even find that she is more supportive of your feelings then you expect her to be and she was simply waiting for you to bring up the subject so she can help you find the right answer for you! Don't hesitate. Go to your mom and talk with her about your feelings.

just do it yourself girl! you own your self and your body not your mother! THAT IS CRAZY THAT YOU WOULD ASK HER IF YOU WANT TO SHAVE YOUR ARMS. and by the way waxing is better than shaving because then you will grow stubble back and that's not good. you can buy a home waxing kit from shopper's drug mart of the body shop or any other places like that.

Do not shave your arms - razor stubble is unattractive.
Use pre-waxed strips or depilatory.
Explain how self conscious you feel about the hair on your arms to your mom & ask her if it's okay w/ her. Make sure you're doing this because you want to - not because of peer pressure.

be honest with her and tell her, mom i dont like the hair on my arm and i hope its ok with you if i shaved it.
express yourself that you really wanna do it and you are hoping she will agree,tell her if she says no you wont do it .
you know your mom better than us so use the words she likes and with respect talk about the issue.
its so admiring that you ask and share your thoughts with us many girls dont even care to ask and do whatever they wanna do.saying we are grown ups and can do whatever we wish to do.
even if she said no be calm and be ready to hear no beofre asking.but if you wait for her ok she will count more on you for later issues and can trust you even more.because this is a very minor thing to ask.
with all the guid you get i hope you are old enough to do it though

just ask her! the worst thing that can happen is that she'll say no..but just to warn you, shaving your arms gets annoying. sure it looks great and everything but trust me, it is a PAIN. when i asked my mom she just asked me why i wanted to shave my arms and i told her the hair on my arms made me uncomfortable so she said okay. good luck!

Shave your arms??? If you mean your armpits than just be like, "Could you pick me up some razors next time you go shopping? I want to start shaving my armpits if that's all right. " Than she'll probably be like sure!! Don't worry about it, just ask, it will bug you until you do!!!

plz dont shave OR wax your arms!! if you do then your arm hair will grow thicker, darker, and longer.and your a chick, chicks are not suppose to have long , thick, dark arm hairs.

i shave my arms and i argree its so great i love it but i use nair it dosnt hurt and it wont grow back really werid it takes like 3 min you wash it off and the hair is gone i would just explain to your mom why you would like to shave your arms and you feel about then just tell her that you would like to shave your arms but i think it nair is soooo much better its a great item to have!:)
