I often say to people 'God bless' and of course I always sign off here with 'blessings :)'
are you non-believers or followers of other belief systems offended by that even though it is (on my part) my wish that you are truly blessed?

No, I'm not offended if it's sincerely meant. What gets offensive is when people say things like that to be condescending. Like when they say "I'll pray for you" in response to hearing that you're an atheist. Why would they say that? They don't give a hoot about me. There's nothing sincere in it, it's just them showing off. If they wish to pray for us because they really care, then they can do that on their own without needing to rub it in our faces.

I honestly do get a little offended because I've had a bad experience with Christians in my youth. To me, it is a red flag that we would not do very well on a road trip or a camp-out together. I would last all of 15 minutes before withdrawing. Yes, I'm pretty intolerant and a recluse. Hopefully I get a thumb up for my honesty.

No, Just amused at the concept that the individual thinks they invoke a preference from God through giving one such a salutation versus one who did was not lucky enough to receive it. Seems like a form of false pride to me.

You would need to be easily offended to even notice such a thing to get offended in the first place.

Doesn't bother me at all :)

Reminds me of a friend of mine many years ago who looked very uncomfortable every time I sneezed. I thought it was odd but didn't question it. Finally one day she told me that she didn't know what to say when I sneezed, that she wanted to say "God bless you" but didn't want to offend me! :p

I told her to relax :)

Relax :)

Agnostic here - no, not offended at all. You can believe as you wish, no offense taken.

No it is not offensive, but sometimes it feels a little uncomfortable as it feels like I'm being patronised. Blessings is fine.

In general, no it does not bother me.

On the other hand, when it is a family member who knows what I believe, I find it annoying.

I take no offense. I know your heart is to evoke positive support into my life. I'm fine with that.
