Chocolate brown is one of my favorite colors! When I worked in an office I had my office walls painted in stripes, random & different sizes, lime green, choc brown and pink.

I also love it paired with teal, auqua, fushia, or sage green.

Are you planning on painting your room just one color? Because you could get really creative and do a border in a rockish theme with your new paint...

I would use 'electric' colors in hot pink, lemon, lime, turquoise.
[ Pick one or two. ] Paint the walls one or two of the colors - you could make facing walls both color A, and other two walls color B; or do vertical stripes.
Add some pillows, lamps, candles or other accessories in either color.
I would buy some posters of favorite album covers, have them framed, and pick some colors from your favorites.
Add souveneirs from rock concerts [ programs, drumsticks, backstage passes ] on the walls in one big display. Make sure you hang things with least damage possible. Consult the hardware store if you need help.

Go with a neutral colour, something like an alabaster or a light taupe. This way if you decide to get a new bedspread in a different colour, you don't have to worry about co-ordinating it with the wall colour. Use colour in your accessories (pillows, throwrugs, lampshades). These are easier to find in many different colours and you can change them as much as you like. One week you could have a modern look with white, red, browns and orange, the next week something fresh with lime greens and aqua. Most homeware stores have these items in abundance at some at reasonable prices.
