A comment from a religious person. Didn't god give free will to men. Now we have to pray for his will to be done?Anyone else find it difficult to keep up with the bending of rules to suit with this religion thing?

So free will as long as you believe in me. Oh by the way if you don't you're off to hell. A cynic would say that man invented all this and then put a scare tactic in to make people believe..

No Teresa there's nothing plain and simple about that! It is illogical to give men free will knowing that they can sin, why do that? It's just nonsensical.Really is and just not a story I believe.

Where is the dilema? As a Christian, we should want to do God's will. He knows what the bigger picture is. This is why we would pray for His will to be done. Just as with all people, Christians have the choice to choose whether we follow God's will or our own. Sometimes it may be in line with God's will, other times it may not be.

Praying for God's will to be done is also an act of free will. Those of us who pray that way trust God and trust that his will is in our best interest. ( Isaiah 48:17, 1John 4:8)
A person who does not feel this way is under no obligation to pray this way or to pray at all.

Nothing bent here. Those who accept the atonement are by faith changed to God's righteousness and his will is our will.
Free will is simply the freedom to accept the truth or believe a lie. Those who have accepted the truth are already in agreement with God's truth.

yes, we r to pray for his will 2 to done on earth as in heaven.
Jesus gave us a 'model' prayer, to show what is proper to ask for, give thanx for.
If ya want 2 know what his will is, ya gotta study the Scriptures
The rules (as u put it) don't change, its the ppl.
God hasn't changed.

Free will was given men, but for those who have been saved through the blood of the lamb- we desire to have God's will as our own.

So let me understand this (from the posts above) - we all have free will, but if we are to be good, we have to throw that free will out the window, and do God's will, even though he wants us to have free will.
Do I have it right?
That's a paradox.
