lol, almost.
It seems that the respect for religious beliefs have limits. We have all this debate in my country now, about whether or not a Muslim female teacher should get the respect for her beliefs and be allowed to teach with her face fully covered.
As a student, I tried to do the same. I invented a god, my god told me that I had to go naked in public forever. My god forbids clothing of any kind.
For some reason my school didn't respect that.
So, if it gets utterly silly, then all of a sudden all respect is gone. Don't ask me where the line exactly is.

If that was true then Scientology would be the one true religion, because it's got to be one of the weirdest ones out there.
1) Up to a point. I do believe people have the right to believe whatever they like as long as they are not harming others and trying to force others to believe as they do. If they do that, respect flies out the window in my book.
2) The less logic, the more likely I am to snicker.
3) If something does not have evidence to support it, then it should seriously be questioned.
4) Yes, it does take faith to believe in such things...
5) No. Through some twist of fate, western society has come to regard dogmatic faith as a virtue. To hold an idea as true despite all evidence to the contrary is an abdication of reason. Convictions are the end of knowledge, not the beginning; they are the enemy of truth more than lies.

No, not all beliefs deserve respect, but the individual dose.
If a person is happy believing that their is a man in the moon and is a productive member of society then what is the point of harassing him about it?

Respect is just good manners. No one said you have to agree with other faiths just have the politeness to agree to disagree. Whats so hard about that?
The world would be a far better place if human beings would just respect each other despite there differences be they race, religions, nationalities, cultures......
Whats the big deal?

Okay let me straighten out what you got crooked. GOD MADE EVERYTHING!! He is the Creator not the devil. The devil(Lucifer created by God) has control of the planet(the planet created by God) for a short time(time created by God) only. Satan rules the very air(created by God) we(we are created by God) breathe. All viruses were created by God, warped by the devil to be sure but never the less. God created. Bats, Hurricanes, these are things God created for a good reason. The cancers and the plagues, the famines and the evil are all byproducts of the devil. Satan cannot create. He can copy but not create! He is a very powerful entity and not to be tempted. He has the ability to warp what God has wrought. We ourselves do that very well without the help of the devil thank-you very much, but that is not what we were created for. However Satan had other plans, did you read how easily he seduced us in the garden of Eden? Well he is still doing that on a daily basis.
