When and among whom will the next protracted, global war take place?

With more than 60 years having elapsed since the end of World War II, when do you think the next global war will take place, and who will the combatants be on both sides?

I think that the war has already started. The white hats will be worn by Western Civilization nations. This will include most of Europe, Japan, S Korea, Both Americas, Australia and New Zealand. The black hats will be the fundamental Islamic peoples and not a nation state there may be a group of nations controlled by them however much of the populations of those lands will be to afraid to say no. The conflict will not be like WWI or WWII it will be Vietnam world wide!

I don't think with all the technology available today, a protracted war will take place, nor a global one either. I think it will be more along regional conflicts and if it does happen it will take place in the Middle East when Iran tries to destroy Israel with the help of Syria and Saudi Arabia. How we will get drawn into it, I don't know, but we will. My concern is that if Israel gets put on the ropes by Iran or the others, with their backs to the wall, they may retaliate with a nuclear strike and then all hell will break loose. I don't think it will be World War 3 but it will be close. Scary stuff, if you ask me.

My other concern is the Korean peninsula with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il...if he doesn't get what he wants concerning economic aid, food, oil, etc., would he invade the south? Seoul is about 30 miles south of the DMZ and in range of Kim's artillery and rockets and North Korea has the world's 4th largest army so with him anything is possible and that is a huge concern of mine, his being unpredictable...would he use one of his nukes, invade, fire a missile at the US? What would our response be?
These 2 scenario's above are concerns of mine.

THIS is what we're doing in places like Iraq and Afghanistan! In a matter of months, there won't be any places inside Iraq for these thugs to hide. They're finding it difficult to set up shops in Afghanistan as it is. Granted, most of the people there seemed to be stoned out of their minds too much to care one way or the other.

It will be Zionism versus Islam in the Middle East. Israel wants to dominate the world and create a one world government. It has been chiseling away at the sovereignty of the USA now for some time.

I predict that the next global war after WWII will take place between the US (with it's western-european allies) and the Soviet Union, Red China, and thier satelite states.

The one after that will be the Civilized World vs the Muslim World.

The one after that will be between the Caliphate and China.

As soon as bombs start to fall on Iran, my opinion is that the world is tired of our supposed worlds only super power, and it will take one more beligerance of stupidity by Bush and Russia, China, and North Korea, and know telling who else will jump on the kick americas tale bandwagon.Then as the neocons want WW3.

it will be the civil war in america that will spread to mexico and with canada arming the border to keep it from spreading up there.

both sides will recruit support from various countries with their own agenda.

this will spark other wars throughout the world.
