Perhaps this would be more accurate:

Religion based on emotional deficiency- Atheism based on logical research- Agnosticism based on intellectual honesty

Religious people and atheists both tend to think they're right. Agnostics admit they don't know.

I thought what Kharm said was interesting.. but one thing that I don't get.. Why is it that the religious people are considered 'deficient' in some area? That kind of way of asking the question makes it appear as if you think that the Christians are just "needy" and wrong.. (or I am just reading it wrong).

I decided to look up what some definitions were for the different ones:

"Agnosticism (from the Greek a, meaning "without", and Gnosticism or gnosis, meaning knowledge) means unknowable, and is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims—particularly theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), or deities—is unknown or, depending on the form of agnosticism, inherently unknowable.
Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of God or gods; or, alternatively, that while certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism."

"Atheism, defined as a philosophical view, is the position that either affirms the nonexistence of gods or rejects theism; but in its broadest definition, it is the absence of belief in deities, sometimes called "nontheism"."

"Theism is the belief in the existence of one or more gods or deities."

So, to me, Theism (which I guess is what you are referring to with religions) are based on a belief of God. Atheism is based on not believing in God. Agnosticism is unsure.

I would say that religion is based on an emotional need to believe in deities, and atheism is the result of not having that need.

I have to..partly...agree with Midge.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

But it is Almighty God's power that allows Jesus to do this.

Jesus always stated that he can do nothing of his own initiative.
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

The same thought is repeated at verse 30, 7;28...8;28 & 42 and 10;18.
Mentioned too many times to be ignored.
Jesus is the 'lesser' being.
But still King of God's Kingdom. [ Matt. 6; 9,10]

"How are you happier for being Atheist[?]" i does not be, accepted, yet i've got in no way seen that as an inalienable suited or maybe unavoidably a precedence. "...reality is extra advantageous than lots income. I certainly have searched over the grounds of my perception, and if spouse and newborn and get in touch with and repute have been all to be lost to me one after the different via fact the penalty, nevertheless i won't be in a position to lie." T H Huxley. i'm going to stay with that: a bias to reality as a powerful element, tender or not. in step with danger that makes me (as quickly as extra) area of a minority, as Douglas Adams stated: "The Universe, as has been stated in the previous, is an unsettlingly huge place. the very fact which, for the sake of a quiet existence, maximum folk tend to forget approximately. Many might fortunately flow to someplace extremely smaller of their very own devising, and it is what maximum beings, extremely, do."

Um, I have credentials too many to list. And you say I am emotionally deficient? One has nothing to do with the other.

When you die it doesn't matter how smart you are , you can not raise yourself from death. Only Jesus can do that.
