Everytime I bake cupcakes it seems like the bottoms are always getting burnt before the tops are even light brown. I put the cupcake pans on the middle rack of the oven with the oven at 350F. What am I doing wrong?

Put you cupcake pan on a cookie sheet and raise you rack.

Turn down the heat and put the pan on a higher rack.
Use cupcake paper.
Place an oven thermometer in your oven to check the temperature.

I like a top and bottom rack. Bake half the time on the top rack then switch to the bottom rack for the last half. I do the same for cookies.

Put them on the top rack.
