It gets complicated and you have to use quantum mechanics and super string theory... so hold on here we go!!!
The fabric of reality contains many dimensions... Science is still pondering the exact number, but rest assured there are at least 16... Our thoughts affect the outcomes of scientific experiments on the Planck scale.. The very nature of the fabric of reality appears to be associated with consciousness.
Everything counts.. Everything you do counts. Every thing you say, counts. Every thought that enters your mind,, counts. Consciousness creates. Its product is a multidimensional energy we call the soul. The soul is the sum total of everything you do.
So the meaning of life is found in the care and nurturing of your soul. And this means: seek truth, practice love and relish everything you find beautiful in the world. The mystics call this enlightenment.
So if the fabric of reality is associated with consciousness then what do you make of our universe? It is the consciousness of God. And we live and have our being within the mind of God.

Sorry, but I don't agree that your answer to the meaning of life is the full answer. I believe "you have a divine mission in Heavenly Father’s plan. You came to earth to receive a body and to gain knowledge and experience to help you become more like your Heavenly Father. Specifically, He wants you to learn to control your body, to choose right over wrong, and to walk by faith in Jesus Christ. Knowing that you could not progress continually if you remained in the pre-mortal world, Heavenly Father sent you to Earth, much as a parent sends a child to school."
There is this man who talks about how he found out the purpose of life on mormon.org.
If you want you can click on the source link below and listen to what he has to say. I believe that he has it figured out. I pray that you may come to a knowledge of the true purpose of life. Sorry, but I don't believe that it's to ask the question "what is the meaning of life." God doesn't want us to go wandering around aimlessly not knowing the purpose for our existence. God bless you.
Sincerely
Arthur :) :) :)

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

The meaning of life is to get past asking 'what is the meaning of life', by realising it... I think. By giving concrete experiential answers to the question.
One has to 'realise' the meaning of life, at one point or another, doesn't one?
Otherwise, isn't it just doubt & vacillation?
Ye of little faith. :-)
Actually, I think it's pretty healthy to ask the question from time to time, to strengthen one's resolve, or have the courage of heart & mind to change direction, if that's what needs to be done.
Good Q, OL.

The meaning of life is .... the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

The meaning of life can be defined with the reason that a mountain climber climbs a mountain.

Yes, I see........I think maybe folks should stop searching for a "meaning" and just live, 'cause when you think about it, the whole thing is just pretty absurd. We're placed here without asking to be, and we have some good times and some bad times. And then we die.
