I am planning to go to a gym with a couple of friends to get the muscles. If I go Monday-Friday, every week with a full 3 hour workout, about how much time will it take me to notice some changes in my body?

If you're starting out with a three hour weights workout five days in a row, you won't see much at all in the way of results. For one thing, this is way too long, especially for a beginner, to be working out with weights in one workout.

By about 60-90 minutes into a weight workout, typically your muscle glycogen stores have been depleted, at which point your muscles begin to feed on themselves for energy.

You also must allow your muscles to rest and recover. This is why you'll see most advanced routines are only 3-4 days a week. If your routine is intense enough, this is all you need to do to stimulate muscle growth.

So, if you're following a more reasonable lifting routine of 45-60 minutes, starting out, it's intense enough, you're lifting correctly, you allow enough recovery time between workouts, and you have an adequate healthy diet, you'll start seeing strength gains in as little as 2-3 weeks, and actually physical changes in 5-6 weeks.

it takes a while but you won't really notice it, you gain wait but that's only muscle being built up. don't stop if you gain weight. MIGHT take over a few months but Im not so sure
