"A lot of Christians".... Quite a generalization is it not?
I haven't heard of even one making that comparison.

Then a whole lot of them voted for "the snake." So if in fact "a lot of Christians" are now making this comparison (which I have not heard, by the way), it would only mean that they are backtracking toward a revisionist history wherein these poor, trusting, God-fearing people were duped by a serpent in the garden.
It's the old "if we knew then what we know now" defense invoked by presidential candidates on both sides now trying to distance themselves from their votes "for" the Iraq war.

Yea, this is the same bunch who thought he could do no wrong not so long ago...so much for Christians. Their judgments, as in many other areas, is not what they think it is. the Dixie Chicks, among others, were all but banned for saying what many others, including myself, said...Bush is an idiot, we have no business in Iraq, we have no business torturing prisoners, and the homeland security act is a travesty. NOW, others have finally seen the light...where in the hell were they just a few short years ago...this man was NOT elected, Florida lied about its vote, and Bush should NOT have been in the White House. He is there because of very crooked Republicans (redundant). Good luck
