No, biology doesn't work like that. Lucy is not viewed as being "the" first human. Asking who was the "first human couple" is like asking who were the first two people to have a conversation in English. It begs the question of where you want to draw the line in the evolution of our language to where the old germanic languages became "English", and there's no sharp line.

Actually, quite recently in fact, archeologists have discovered an even older link in the evolutionary tree...can't remember what they named him but I'm pretty sure there is a 100,000 year difference between this man and Lucy. This male was not bipedal but contained distinct similarities to Lucy and also, to us. Nobody says we came from Lucy...? Where are you getting your facts...?

Actually, science indicates that all humans decended from one woman - we don't know how many fathers her offspring came from.

While funamentalists believe that all humans decended from two men, Cain and Abel. Go figure that one out.
