Yep, that's one of the problems with Pascal's Wager. If a deity DOES happen to exist, who's to say that it values your belief in it above all else? Who knows for sure that it values your belief in it at ALL?

You don't really have free will after all. So maybe God did make the universe and decide certain people would go to hell. Another thing, us atheists are only here to test the faith of Christians (heard that before). Though, if some are destined for heaven and some for hell what's the point anyway?
Now of course these are only thoughts, it's the job of a thinking person (i'd like to think) to entertain some thoughts that seem truly absurd. But after thinking it still seems like a bunch of rubbish.

It hadn't occured to me that maybe god didn't want YOU to believe in him, I had never heard of you before now. It also never occured to me that god didn't want me to believe in him, because I cant even contemplate the existance of god in a comical sense.
Ashley - may god be with us all... kidding.

has it ever occurred to you if God did not want you to believe, and be His child, that He would not have sent His Son to suffer on the cross for the whole world?

I know if I was God, I wouldn't be so insecure or egotistical as to demand people believe in and worship me, especially when I leave so little evidence of my own existence.

Or rather, has it ever occurred to you that Satan doesn't want you to believe in God?
See! I can be a screaming Christian if I want to be! I feel so accepted, as if 2/3 of the members of R&S are welcoming me into their hearts.
But seriousely, God wants what he wants, and you should willingly obey him.

So you are saying that it is God who will be at fault if you do not believe. God said "...not will that any should parish but that all should come to repentence"
The ball is in your court--what will YOU do with Jesus?

Even if I were to suppose it were possible for the sake of argument, why wouldn't He? Why go through all the trouble of creating human beings and then ignore them?

Christianity and Islam both say that God chooses people to not believe in him, and then condemns them to everlasting torture, as I understand it. So, hypothetically, yes.

well you do not know God then do you, and believing in Him is something that is required of everyone, God calls all men to come to Him and accept Jesus as their personal Savior, He calls all men.
