Scientists, archaeologists, astronomers and historians agree that there are some unique astrophysical events that will transpire in the next few years.

In these troubled times of Islamic terrorism, nuclear war, famine, disease and global climate change, it is not surprising there is a lot of talk about the end of the world. Scientists are struggling to find out what is causing global warming, and we wonder whether the planet may be destroyed by this, or by phenomena such as asteroids or comets.

But perhaps it won’t be the “end of the world” but rather the “end of the world as we know it.” According to the Bible, Jesus is to return in the midst of the most horrifying war and annihilation of the human race that the world has ever seen, put an end to it all by defeating the armies of evil and establish His “Millennial Kingdom

'the most horrifying war and annihilation of the human race that the world has ever seen"

This actually occurred with WW1. In 1914 war broke out in heaven and Satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of earth. (Revelation 12:7-12) This resulted in "woe for the earth and the sea" That was the beginning of the end. World events began a downward spiral. Of course there are those who chide as 2Peter 3:3-4 said they would, that things are no different than their forefathers day when Christians were preaching the same message. However those who are honest know that things are not the same. People are different (2Timothy 3:1-5), world conditions are different (Matthew 24:4-14) even the earth itself is different (Revelation 11:18)

Yes, our King Christ Jesus continues his ride to complete his conquest (Revelation 6:2) The majority of Bible prophesies have already been fulfilled and are being fulfilled. There are only a few that still have ro be fulfilled. True Christians follow the Bible's admonition to "keep on the watch" (Matthew 24:42) and to keep awake and watchful (Mark 13:33, Luke 21:36, 1Peter 5:8, Revelation 3:2)

We do not want to become drowsy by putting that day off in our minds. Feeling that it is so far in the future that we need not concern ourselves about it. (2Peter 2:11-13)

Since Aug 1989 our solar system is aligning to the center of our Galaxy and our Galaxy is aligning with other Galaxies in a Universal convergence. Many prophesies (Mayans, Bible, Native Americans, Sumerian deltas, Pyramids of Giza...) indicate that around Dec 2012 this convergence will come to it's full cycle and the New Era of Cosmic Love and Light shall begin the next cycle of evolution. This is a cosmic event that takes place in every few millions of years and it is time for joy and celebration for those who are aware of the upcoming events. Yes the world as we know it will change, there will be must upheaval and turbulence the effects of which we are already experiencing. The planet will undergo severe changes such as a polar swift that will result to major earthquakes, tremendous climate changes and the face of Earth will for ever change. The 12 strand DNA will be restored on those humans who have already done their 'homework' as far as conscience is concerned. It is the end of Homo Sapience and the dawn of Homo Universalis.

Sounds fair to me. Apparently the "Big Bang" was an astounding astrological event which just happened to form the Earth and a few other planets. As we can now see from Science, there are a lot of asteroids and comets and stuff flying around in space, and it's only a matter of time before one of them actually hits us to wipe us out. A bit like chucking the balls on the billiard table really, eventually you'll "sink the black"

THAT would be called "end of days" wouldn't it?

Yes I think we are in the end times, but how long they will go on, I don't know. There will at least be a seven year tribulation period (as you mentioned) before the return of Christ.

The one thing I do regret is that the bible says, when this earth passes away and there will be a new heaven and a new earth, there will be "no more sea".

It is the end of the world as we know it.. After the great tribulation Jesus and the Christians will be coming back to take over for 1000 years.. Jesus will reign as King of the whole earth for that time period and then the folks that want to rebel will be given their chance again..

Yes I do believe we are heading into if not already living in the end times as promised. The visions of Nebuchadnezzar are unfolding .The millennium prophecy seems to be under way.But God said we will not know when. It will just happen in the blink of a eye.I would hate to think that things are going to get worse than they are already. It really does scare you if you think his promise will be full filled or that society will become even more troubled than already.I do believe that Heaven will be on earth as promised .But not what we remember earth to be.

Jesus gave us compost sign as to what his presence will be, Wars and reports, of wars, food shortages, etc.
This all happen when he established his throne in the year 1914.
Since then he and others have been watching mankind, helping honest heated ones come to an accurate knowledge of him and his Father Jehovah.
Soon how ever, he will be fighting a battle called Armageddon.
Will you be one of the survivors into his righteous New World?

If the world ends then it will be because we - humanity - have abused it beyond it's ability to repair itself. Nothing divine about that. We humans also forget that the earth is a living entity and we can't take without giving back.
