isnt apple os X and up just versions of linux?

microsoft wouldn't and couldn't touch linux.

Do you mean the gui is like an apple (-the security)

Nobody....it's a system hog!!! XP is much better. They're just looking for something new to market, no matter the cost or performance!

It seems as though on just about every feature that Windows once again copied apple. Apple operating system is much better & secure and I am waiting for Leapord to come out in October.

I love it, but that's because my computer is good enough to run it without having all of the life sucked out of it. People who don't have great computers are left with sluggish performance because of how much of the system's resources are eaten up by Vista.

Windows Vista Ultimate runs fine on this system:

AMD Athlon X2 5200+
2GB Corsair DDR2 667mhz
ATI Radeon x1600 Pro
250GB SATAII Western Digital HDD

Me. It's fantastic, I can't see why people are having so many problems with it. Sure it's been changed around a bit but it's not THAT hard to get used to what little changes hae been made to the GUI.
