-WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING WHEN JESUS COMES BACK?
-ARE YOU READY FOR THE SECOND COMING/JUDGEMENT DAY?
(and my personal favorite)

Why don't you use your atheist super power to sustain your own life; stick around and find out.

Depends, and if they are still here, we can only hope that they will still be asking even more or better questions.

I believe that Jesus (and/or) The Christ will have come and gone with only a very few actually knowing that he came.

Why? Because they are, and are being taught to prepare for these things in a way that will NOT actually prepare them for what is really going to happen.

Most don't understand that the only thing that is preventing Jesus and/or The Christ from Re-appearing is our lack of preparation...and that 'the signs' have little or nothing to do with His (Their?) return.

Signs are just that--signs--but not necessarily signs of the 'end of days' or 'the end of the world', but of a cycle and possibly even the end of a cycle within a cycle--as even Christians shortly after Jesus death thought 'the end was near'.

The last time he showed up, only around 120 people actually knew and/or acknowledged who and what he was. I don't think it'll be much different the next time around.

Most do not realize that when they read the english word "world" that it comes from the Greek word AION. The modern English word "eon" is derived from this and it means "an age".

So all this 'end of the world' talk as it relates to Jesus, Christ, the Second Coming, etc., actually was meant to mean "at the end of an age."

I wonder what "age" the authors of the NT were really attempting to communicate to us?

Regards,

Absolutely! If nothing else, Christians are renowned for being "slow learners".

It takes them a couple of thousand years to realise that what Jesus "allegedly" promised would happen in the lives of those living at the time of his "alleged" ascension, would take a little longer to achieve.

Add another 1000 years or so to the equation....what the Hell!

As for the "end of days"....we had one last night, didn't we? What about yesterday, and the day before? And this morning was obviously the "end of nights", wasn't it?

I'm actually more surprised that you think this forum will exist in 1000 years. I can't think of any 1000 year old companies and I doubt Yahoo will be the first.

1000 years from now will atheists still be on this forum asking questions like this:

-1000 Years from now will Christians still be on this forum asking questions like:?
-Christians, prove there is a God.
-Christians, why do you reject all forms of intelligence?
-Is there a correlation between a literal interpretation of the Bible and putting pink flamingos on your lawn?

And why will they be asking? Same reason as today - They have nothing better to do!

And atheists will still asking isn't the trinity polytheism and do Christians think it’s ok to sin if they have repented and do we know about the pagan roots of our religion and can God microwave a burrito so hot that even he can’t eat it and if God was executed in an eclectic chair would we wear tiny gold electric chairs around our neck and if a watch has a watchmaker who made God.

Hopefully, by that time, the intellectual vacuum that causes Christianity to flourish will be filled. So there will be no need for a god. And these questions will by under "mythology" instead of "religion".

It is sad that you have nothing better to do than question someone elses beliefs in this manner. However, in 1,000 years I will have been in heaven for 950 years. Where will you be during that same period of time? How do you know?
