Christians in fact worship MANY "gods" and acknowledge a score of others. Apart from the holy trinity of god the father, god the son and the holy spirit, there is a veritable pantheon of demi-gods in the idols of the Madonna (virgin mother goddess), the saints (both minor and major), the angels and sundry "legions of heaven" and even an anti-god in the form of Satan, who in turn commands his own legions of demons and even his own alternative afterlife.

Christianity was "sold" to a pagan public by taking on many traditions (the goddess and various "specialty gods"---think St. Christopher, the patron saint of travelers, or St. Anthony, the "finder of lost things"), they re-made pagan holidays as christian holidays and even made-off with and "converted" tons of symbolism, dietary consideration and ever "prayers."

Take any Christian into your typical Christian church, point to the countless godly individuals depicted in stained glass and murals, then ask them to explain how they see their tradition as monotheistic.

Always good for a chuckle.

.... And the sacrifice? Your regulation for sure states the will for a sacrifice. If prayer or form-heartedness can replace the will for a sacrifice, then why became prayer and form-heartedness not declared from the initiating? And as on your different questions/factors one million) a) we don't worship 2 Gods, we worship God in 3 distinctive varieties. that is a similar to assert that i'm slightly a historian, track lover, and baseball participant. that doesn't mean i'm 3 particular human beings, yet that i'm characterised those 3 techniques. one million) b) some do. verify out the Biblical Unitarians, extraordinarily William Ellery Channing. He believed Christ became God's Son, yet not that he became God himself. He became for sure a lot extra advantageous than any human beings, yet a technique or the different inferior in some degree than God. 2) we don't worship the circulate and such, so i don't see the way it must be idolatry. The Ark of the Covenant. Take that working example. it quite is a demonstration to bear in mind that God became with you, and interior a similar way we placed on the circulate to bear in mind that Christ has redeemed us. Us worshiping the circulate could be such as you (assuming you're one) worshiping the Ark of the Covenant.

Christians believe in something called the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are all 3 equally God, yet they all 3 have individual roles in the Trinity. God created humans in his image to reflect this: we have a body, a soul (our feelings/emotions), and a spirit (our analytical/logical abilities). Calling Jesus God and God's Son is not a contradiction.

There is only one God. There are 3 persons in 1 God. Trinity. Jesus is the Second Person in the Trinity and by nature is God. This is the one God the Christians worship.

Cheers :-)

We don't worship two separate beings. There is only one God.

What one creates is other than oneself; what one begets is the same as oneself. Therefore, what a human creates is not human, but what a human begets is human. In the same way, what God begets is also God.

God exists in three Persons who are equally coeternal and not made or created. Just as one person can exist as a daughter, sister, aunt, and mother -- in the same way God is one God, but exists as a Father and Son and Holy Spirit.

Patrick illustrated the Trinity by using a single shamrock -- one leaf composed of three. In the same way we have one God existing in three Persons.

If Jesus is the Son of God, what would that make Him? God! When a horse have offspring, is it called a dog? No, a horse.

Jesus is God and he became the Son of God at His resurrection.

Father/Son/Holy Ghost are one. Jesus is the earthly manifstation of God that was neccessary for the sacrifice and fulfilment of prophecy for our sins and thru his blood we are healed and reconciled to God. The Holy Ghost is God's spiritual presence of love in our lives.

As I explained to my children in small terms:

George is a father/ an a brother/ and a uncle but George is still one person

When one accepts a particular faith such as Christianity, it becomes synonymous with sin to even contemplate the possibility that Jesus was not God. Fear keeps their mind shut... a psychological trick to exercise power over the masses.

You really won't understand until you read the first few books of the new testament. No one can explain it to you, you have to read to understand the meaning of it. I asked the same question before I read it...then I read it.......and I understood.

When you are confronted with questions of religion, then read the book, it has all the answers to all of your questions and more. If you want to know more about Judaism then read the first testament......it has many prophecies about Jesus's coming and what he was meant to do. But, to really know who Jesus was and the meaning of what you are asking, read the new testament.

Jesus is god in mortal form. So to whorship one you whorship the other, but this is only true if you believe that Jesus was a prophet and is the only path to salvation.
