I see it purely as a business decision on Dale Jr.'s part. He has to do what is best for his future. I don't quite understand why Dale Sr. didn't leave DEI to Jr., though. I feel that his stepmother has a problem with Jr. having 50% of the business. It's not fair to Jr in my opinion.

Yes - They simply would not give him the car and support he felt he needed to win a Championship. Good for Dale - He is now showing he has some business savvy - And bad for DEI - They will fold like a used deck of cards without Dale and without Budweiser. Shame on you Teresa.

DEI was not HIS team, it's the team of someone who rarely even attends races. He made a wise career decision that will make him alot of money and will eventually win him a championship.

I think he has finally decided, after everything going on, that he has no choice. And all i can say is Teresa is making a big mistake. Dale Sr, her husband who she supposedly loved so much, built this company FOR HIS CHILDREN, and for them to one day own and run. She has destroyed that, and I can guarantee you she will be hearing from a large group of NASCAR fans about it. But, she shouldn't be surprised.

He can do what he wants! Some of you idiots who are answering this question act like JR's life has some effect on your life. If someone's actions does not effect your life, don't worry about it. If there was two piles of money in front of you, one pile has 10 million and the other has 50 million, what pile would you choose. Quit your whining about what athletes make and greed and lack of loyalty. Go lay down little boys!!

Greed, that is why he wanted the controlling shares of something that did not belong to him. And for those of you who think he's going to rattle off a bunch of championships now...he has to be a good driver to pull that off, and I have yet to see that from him.
