No. It's slow but accelerating.

Consider that it was thousands of years that we believed primitive religions. The "Enlightenment" was only a few hundred years ago. Only in the last hundred years have women finally been given more equal status.

There is still a long way to go, but we are making progress, and we're making progress at a faster and faster pace.

We're the same with cooler toys to play with. Our hopes, fears, dreams, and goals have not shifted that much from 5000 years ago.

what does it mean to progress? to stop beleiving in withcraft and magic? to become dependant on technology? to become wealthy? economy isnt the only measure of progress is it?

No, we are slowly going forward. It takes time, man. Geological time, not pitiful human lifetime.
