This one tels us about the peace and love of Christians...
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

There are many however I think that Zech. 4:6 is one of my favorites-
"It is not by might or by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts".
I have an illness that causes a lot of pain and fatigue and if it was not for His Holy Spirit I would be without strength completely,

The wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and?Samaria shall become desolate?they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
- Hosea 13:15-16
With thee will I [the LORD] break in pieces the young man and the maid.
- Jeremiah 51:22
Thus saith the LORD Slay both man and woman, infant and suckling.
- 1 Samuel 15:3
Joshua destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD commanded.
- Joshua 10:40
The LORD delivered them before us; and we destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones.
- Deuteronomy 2:33-34
Kill every male among the little ones.
- Numbers 31:17
would you do the same if god asked you to?
GOD THE ABORTIONIST
Their fruit shalt Thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
- Psalm 21:10
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born?let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
- Psalm 58:3,8
As for Israel, their glory shall fly away like a bird, and from the womb, and from the conception? Give them, O Lord: what will Thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts?they shall bear no fruit?
- Hosea 9:11-16
Notice that the prophet Hosea is pleading with God to punish the Israelites by murdering their unborn babies. The Bible never really provides a logical rationale as to why fetuses, babies, and children must be punished for the sins of their parents and others. Some would suggest that for God to kill unborn babies for their parent's sins is somewhat misdirected retribution.

THE GOD WHO DROWNS AND BASHES BABYS
Every living thing on the earth was drowned [including pregnant women, and babies - ED.]
Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
- Genesis 7:23
Thus saith the LORD? Slay both man and woman, infant and suckling.
- 1 Samuel 15:3

Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Lately, I would say it has been Romans 8:35-39.
It tells me that nothing will EVER seperate me from God's love. It tells you the same thing. And it lists many things that would appear to be seperating obstacles.

There are many, many verses which "tell me something", and I leave it up to the Christian fundies to actually quote the verses ('cos that's what they do best)....but the main couple that impressed me were concerning the "birth" of Jesus.
Matthew tell me it happened in 4BC (or BCE if you like), whilst Luke tells me it happened in 6AD (or CE if you insist).
Herein lies one of the LEAST "talked about" MIRACLES of the Bible.....a 10 year pregnancy.
Hallelujah! I'm saved !

Ephesians 5: 25
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
This reminds me that Christ's example is the most important within the walls of a home, and this is what true Christian women desire for a husband: Men who can emulate Christ in His merciful ways.
It also reminds me that Mother's Day is coming and I've got to be sure I have mom's gift ready...
Thanks for letting me share,

If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3)
