I have three answers for you:
1] The one true law of mass communication is [a] tell them what you're going to tell them, [b] tell them, then [c] tell them what you just told them. Then do it over again.
2] The more one studies world religions, the more one sees it's essentially--in all key ways--the same religion: with the same god-man, the same virgin, the same sacrificial death resulting in accention to the heavens. The New Testament? Yes, but the ancient Egyptian saga of Isis and Osiris long before that. Even the symbol of the "cross" was used in pre-christian religions as a reference to the intersection of god and man.
3] The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Expecting miracles, for example, or a VIP pass to the afterlife.
Shall I repeat this for you?

Because we live an average for about 60 to 70 years. The bible is over 2000 years old, and people are still believing and the prophecies which were written in it are coming true today. These same teaching will be going strong after we are long gone. Can you tell me who was your Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather was, if you can't how could anyone even try to put disbelief into a faith which has spanded so many generations, which send people on missions today to help the poor, and helpless. The United States was founded on Christian beliefs, and is the reason why we are considered the most powerful. Many other religions would not allow you to choose your religion, and if you did, you would be killed. You can choose Jesus, I did, but that is the great freedom which was established by our founding fathers.

Have you noticed that the vast majority of people don't seem to be learning from or being changed from these repetitive teachings? How about you? If you do more than dip the tip of your finger in, you will hear new and mighty things. Perhaps you think you already have much knowledge? I thought I knew it all until I actually read the Bible! Give God a chance; He will put your life on the path He has planned for since the world began...you won't be bored.

Jesus did this quite a lot and so do other scriptural references. What is the best way to teach a child? Repetition. We are all children (our minds are young and still uneducated when compared to God) so God uses repetition. Also, many things were repeated 3 times to show their importance.

Repitition is much better than the alternative. The alternative being a belief in which changes day to day simply to please others. Would you really want to participate in a faith that chnaged daily? Better yet, would that faith do you any good, would it be real? Christians teach using repitition because that is what there is, the bible, we may enrich with other christian based material but stay in the bible. Thankfully the bible does not change.

Repetition for emphasis. We may hear something that applies to us. But, as time goes on we may forget. By repeating things that are true and upright it helps us to remember and always try to apply the things learned. So it is always in our minds and hearts.

Jesus became into the two the son of God or an exceedingly huge liar. there is not any in between. You walk a skinny tight rope attempting to come again down on all sides of the problem. Your project jogs my memory of a survey of religions direction I took in college. each and each consultation became right into a diverse faith, and you ought to swear the prof believed whichever faith he became into lecturing on that day. As for the grandparents, tell them they'd desire to choose. they'd proceed to take the babies to church and permit you to coach them something you spot in superb condition as their verify. OR they'd cease taking the babies to church. era. you are the verify so which you have the excellent word.

In the case of Buddhism, it was due to not writing anything down. It was all passed along orally for centuries, so it is very repetitious.

Easy. It's reinforcement through repetition. Of course, not all religions do this.

Constant repetition of desired ideals etc. is a well-known brainwashing tactic that is common in cults (and organized religions are cults by definition), especially destructive ones.
To answer your question, it's one of the methods used by the 'shepherd' to keep his flock dumb and dependent.
