They would have to sue you and get a judgment against you before they can garnish your wages or place liens on your possessions.

You would have to look up your state statutes for garnishment to see if it is allowable in your state.

No body can garnish your wages without first taking you to court and getting a judgment against you.

Check and see if wage garnishment is even allowed in your State before you worry about it.

Yes, after going thru appropriate legal proceedings depending on your laws. If you owe a lot, it will make it more worth their while. Won't you send them a check today?
