They're not deaf,they just don't understand you.

That just shows that they're ignorant. If someone doesn't understand the language, screaming will not help.

The funniest thing is that they always said "If I'm in there country, I'll learn to speak their language" Sure, some people who were born and raised in this country can't even speak English correctly let alone speaking another language. It's a joke.

They seem to believe that by saying it louder you should be able to understand.


I see it happening all the time. Here in Spain they go to a shop and ask for things in English and if you don´t understand they start yelling as if because of the yelling it would translate.

It's true, and I'm glad you pointed out. I always think is funny when people starts yelling. But probably the person who doesn't speak English won't think it is funny.
So, people, don't do it.

Well, I have seen something of that. Also, after you tell them that you don't understand, still keep talking in english, like hoping that by means of something marvelous, you will understand

Yes...

The only answer I've come up with is that people seem to think that by increasing their VOLUME, the message will somehow get through to the brain!

Yes, I live in the south outside of the city so yes, this is a very common occurance
