no one can even count the times in the bible it says "love your neighbor" and what about "turn the other cheek" and duh in the 10 commandments "thou shalt not kill"? as a christian whos grown up in church and the Word, ive never seen once it say to kill people.

what is the deal? especially when other religions say to kill anyone who doesnt belive what they believe?

Perhaps because of the people killed by Christians and all of the killing in the Bible. It says "love your neighbor" or something like it about 11 times. It also says "an eye for an eye", "rip open pregnant women and dash babies against the stones", and other murderous things.

As far as Christians killing people, there's the Inquisition, witch burning, Hitler, the VT killer, Protestants and Catholics blowing each other up in Ireland, abortion doctor snipers, and myriad others.

If you have to ask that then you probably have not really read the bible for your self. I don't mean in church when the minister tells you what book to turn to. I mean start at the beginning and read it your self. Then study the history of Christianity, the crusades, the inquisition, etc. Then come back and discuss it after you have been thoroughly informed.

So when I read the bible I see a deity who says "Do as I say not as I do". The christian deity murdered nearly all of humanity except six people and sorry but I don't buy the line "but god can do what he wants" and "the old testament is no longer relevant".

I am a christian but in the times of the crusades the crusaders(supposed to be christian knights) raped, plundered, murdered needlessly, and maybe even tortured.
