I was thinking of applying as a pharmacy assistant or cashier in the clinic I was just wondering their policy on visible tattoos.

I have tattoos on my arms.

It depends how visible or how much it is on your arms. Most employers want to project a professional image of their companys to ensure customers retention. Tattos is not really percieved as a vision of health. They also have strict policy about tattos, rings in noise, face, etc. I suggest you be honest about it at interview and not try to hide it. Eventually if you do get hired, the possibility of getting terminated will be high once you become comfortable with your job and your tattoo shows. It will just be a waste of your time. Good luck!

Being the fact that you were hired with the tattoos. They can change the policy all they want, however you can not be terminated for that reason. They are just hoping that you do not know that. If the policy is changed after the fact that you were hired/or got the tattoos and you are termed for that reason.... get a lawyer!! It is against the law to discriminate like that.

In general, most pharmacies have policies against visible tattoos because its not professional.
