If fleas are present, you need to treat your house AND your pets to get rid of them, as they will be on both and you need to break the lifecycle of the flea.

Please use treatments from the vet, as flea treatments from shops are known to have low effectiveness (that's why they're cheaper!). You need a spray for your house, which you will probably need to use twice, vacuuming in between. You also need to treat your dog regularly.

Get a treatment like Frontline. The drops can be used on puppies from 8 weeks of age, depending on the size of the breed, and Frontline spray can be used on puppies from 2 days of age.

The puppies need o be treated with something like frontline or advantage to keep them from getting fleas and bringing them into the house. To treat the house (way cheaper than the pros) when the pros came to my house the used boric acid (available in bulk from lowes or homee depot. Sprinkle it on the carpetlike you would a carpet freshener. Then takea broom and sweep it into the carpet. Try not the vaccum for a few days. Also treat fabric furniture the same way. Put some moth balls into your vaccum cleaner bag to kill any htat have gotten vaccumed up. The boric acid drys out the fleas and there eggs so they die. It is harmless to children and pets. Good luck.

You need to get a flea treatment from your vetrinarian NOT the ones from a retail store/pet store. Those ones will not work. If you use something like Front Line you won't have to worry about using anything on your carpet or yard.

Try Advantrix. If fleas and ticks stay off your dog, they won't come in your house, ergo you won't have fleas in your house. Flea spray is ineffective.

Bath in Dawn dish soap and use Advantage or Frontline from your vet. Don't get it from the pet store. It's not the same strengh and it's about the same price.
