On my other question, people left some quick terse explanations of evolution, I don't disagree with them, but what i was really looking for was about the nature of communicating and the difficulty in understanding evolution, not about the truth value of evolution. I apologize for not being clear. I wanna know is it possible to use this forum to teach people about eovlution or is it just beating two sticks together.

When someone posts a definition of evolution, the antievolution people say it's a lie....how can you demonstrate anything people refuse to agree on the definition of?

You are asking for a rational solution to an allegorical argument and as you may have noticed that's impossible.
That anti-evolution argument is not about empirical science but rather about ego.
From Day One Christians are led to believe :
That they are not on this planet as a result of a cosmic accident
That they were personally hand crafted by God in his own image
That they can have a personal relationship with the God that created them
And in a rather interesting twist of plot; If they they choose to make God the center of their own personal universe God will reciprocate in kind and make those individuals the center of his own universe.
So if little Johnny is playing Little League and he's in an 0-23 slump he can pray to God and reasonably expect to get a hit in his next at bat-or not .That is intimacy
Evolution negates all that ego massaging stuff and relegates humans to just another life-form among many other life forms on this planet. Many people find that loss of status disturbing so they fight any idea that disturbs the status quo.

No, it is not. the format does not support it. The simple format does not address the complex nature of evolution. The lack of graphics does not enable visualization of the phylogenetic tree. The equations supporting evolution are difficult to express. Evolution is a broad blanket that covers many disciplines. If you look at the attached website, you'll see how Y!A cannot address evolution broadly.

Y!A is best used for addressing specific issues, not broad concepts.

There is no way one can prove evolution with answers from Yahoo. There are not enough knowledgeable people representing either side that spend time any on yahoo. There are many supporters of each side, but no experts.

There's plenty of websites out there where people can learn:

http://www.talkorigins.org/
http://evolution.berkeley.edu/

If they refuse to learn from these, then they will not learn from your Y!A explanations.

The door is open, but you can't make someone walk through it.

I don't think so. But it's enough to spark curiousity and interest on that subject.
