I'm sure there are plenty of Christians who think they they are better than Atheists. Just as there are likely many Atheists who think they are better than Christians, or Muslims who think they are better than Jews.
It is impossible to confirm a blanket statement like that. That is what perpetuates stereotypes, and prejudices

Some do. There are many wonderful Christians who accept all people from all beliefs and walks of life.
I think judgment goes both ways actually. I tend to forget that very fact, myself, far too often. Sometimes atheists/agnostics in all our forms tend to put all Christians in the fundie category.

in a word, categorically, no.
A Christian is one who has acknowledged that he (or she) sins and is a sinner and in need of a Savior. By admitting that we are sinners, we are saying that we are no better than anyone else. But on the other hand, we are no worse than anyone else, either.
I believe that a Christian is better off than a non-christian because of his (or her) faith in God, but that doesn't make him or her better than a non-christian. A true Christian NEVER has a "holier-than-thou" attitude, because part of being a Christian is learning to humble one's self.
But that does NOT mean that "I am SOOOO humble, and I'm proud of it" - LOL. Not a false humility to look good, or one that is only external, but the kind of humility that sees the other person as a true equal to whom you reach out to when that other person has needs. In other words, as someone once put it, the ground at the foot of the cross is level.

I don't. We're all sinners. The difference is that I'm forgiven. Atheists can be too if they turn to Jesus.

the more appropriate question might be, "do Christians think they're better than everything?
(Chuck Norris excluded)

No, we believe that we are imperfect enough that we need to be saved. What about you?
