I'm just courious were you a stay-at-home-mom or your child was in a daycare, and how old was she when you left her in daycare?

My child may have this disorder. He might be autistic, too, or just a late bloomer. Right now I'm waiting to see a specialist and see what's going on and start treatment. Anyway, I'm a stay at home mom, and want to care for him myself until he starts school. I feel like I'd rather watch him because I want him to get the extra attention and care he needs.

My son is 3 and autistic w/sensory processing difficulties. I stay at home with him for two reasons:
1. I do Floortime therapy at home w/him
2. I already know all his "cues" (he is nonverbal)
3. I don't think there are any daycare centers in my city that are educated enough in either autism or SID.

I am also an Autism Parent Consultant but only work when he is in preschool (for special needs children) 4 days a week in the morning.

An occupational therapist (OT) and/or actual therapist (PT) are great supplies. those professionals artwork in public college structures among different places. they are very knowledgable on the themes of sensory integration.

My son was at home with me most of the time until he was five. He went to a baby sitter 8 days a month when he was three and four.
