I'd agree with the stress idea. I am familiar with stress-vomiting. I was raised in a cult and when I came out of it at age 30 (much against my family's wishes of course) I was sick almost every morning for several months. To the place my dentist asked me if I was bulimic!
For nearly 3 years every time something stressful would happen related to my family (and there was a lot in those days) I'd be sick after breakfast.
Not wanting to vomit (and like you, I hated it) makes it even more probable you will.
I am so sorry for you. I suggest you go to a counsellor or therapist and talk about what's troubling you. The nausea and dizziness is your body asking for help, but the problem may be in your emotions or mind. Is work really getting you down, or a relationship going wrong?
Get some advice and help and it will get better, it did for me. (((Hugs for you)))

I totally agree with Jayne1653 - she is spot on. I too have a phobia of being sick - not sure why as at the age of 41 I have been sick a handful of times in my entire life! But, like most fears - they are irrational!. I would say it is anxiety. I often feel dizzy, light headed and "spacey" and am sure it is down to stress - all my recent blood tests came back perfect. The problem with having repeat blood tests done is that everyday, they will change because our bodies are always changing!. My advice is like Jayne - just think to yourself that although you may feel dizzy sometimes, nothing bad has happened to you yet and therefore it is unlikely to - My friend is a counsellor and she tells me that a fear of being sick is extremely common so you are not alone. What is the worse thing that can happen - even in the unlikely event that you were actually sick. I have seen people sick on planes and in the street and I don't think anything bad of them so, if it happened to you, people would think the same - they would want to make sure you are OK. Try and keep positive - if you have a bad day, don't see it as a set back just move on. Good luck. Remember that so many people suffer with anxiety and stress - people of all ages so you are not alone. I would try and beat this by mind over matter rather than medication - that is a short term solution. x

I think it probably is. You're frightened of being sick so your body produces flight or fight chemicals (adrenilin) which in turn can make you feel dizzy. When you wake up in the morning, it's probably been on your subconcious mind that you're going to feel sick so when you wake up it's the first thing you scan your body for and then you do feel sick. And so the cycle carries on. Try asking yourself, if you were sick, what's the worst thing that could happen? It wouldn't be very nice and you'd have to clean up but it doesn't last very long and then you can get on with your day. I know I'm making it sound simple and it's not because I have been there with the same sort of thing. It is hard but you have to talk your body out of it. Also try some relaxation exercises, they do help. Go to bed tonight telling yourself that tomorrow when you wake up, you're going to feel great. Takes time but you will get there. Good luck xx

This question can not be answered without knowing more details, it could be to do with your diet, stress, bad sleep patterns, blood pressure the list goes on. Diet and blood pressure are the most common causes but there are so many variables and it could be more than one thing. You should consult another doctor for a second opinion. In most countries you can consult someone over the phone and then take it from there. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Steve.

Could you be suffering from Vertigo? are you anxious about going to work? Do you drink quite a bit of alcohol the night before? Have you had allergy tests? Are you eating regularly? how is your iron levels? these could all be contributing factors. If you go away on holiday do you feel the same? If none of these are a factor how about seeing a Hypnotherapist?

This problem could be a number of things. it could be stress related, or anaemia, it could just be that you are dehydrated!! Try drinking more water and less caffeine filled drinks and see if it helps. Good luck.
