Putting yourself before all others, to die for them, and for their lives, even if you know it may not work.

If not Why?

Dying for your wife, children and country isn't a selfish act, as someone accused it, dying for what your country stands for whether or not everybody in it is nice to you, isn't selfish. try to think about it please.

jesus did not take the pain of death for all men, when a mortal man dies, as jesus was a mortal man, they only take their own pain...., but it can stand for something, just as your wife children and country, fighting for their freedom, and for their lives, can mean something

No, because people actually do die for wives, children, and country. Jesus died because he pissed off the Jewish leaders.

It is a good and noble thing when a man gives up his life for others, and God will reward him.

However, it's not the same as the death of Jesus. Why?

Because Jesus was God, a divine person. So His death actually had the power to save ALL mankind from sin. No human person could accomplish so much by dying.

Another difference is that Jesus was sinless. There was no guilt in Him, so His death was truly the most innocent that has ever occurred. Even a regular man who dies for another is still a sinner and fallen. Even he is not perfectly innocent.

The ressurection of Christ was further proof of His divinity, because Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead by HIS OWN POWER.

No man on earth has ever been able to do that.

No it not the same. The Lord Jesus Christ had to leave heavens glory and become a man so He could die for our sins. When He was on the cross He died for the sins of the world. No other person could do that. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 2 Corinthians 5: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

He did no longer therapy us from sin, he offered us forgiveness for it. even in spite of the undeniable fact which you're cured of a few illnesses, you nevertheless go through the indications till the ailment is abated. He finished the miracles as an illustration from God that he became into the Christ, the Messiah, and on a similar time as he did those issues in front of the human beings, many chosen to no longer have self belief. there is no blindness, or affliction, or dying in Heaven. till Jesus returns, and establishes his reign in the worldwide, it is the devil's turf. there is the place the afflictions come from.

Jesus died for something his people did wrong to take the punishment they deserved "the punishment for sin is death" and because he was righteous he was resurrected.

the other dying for what they believe to be perfectly good has made a sacrifice but their not taking a punishment the thing they are dying for deserves but rather because they want to protect that thing for the immidiate future. and the factor that they are not resurrected at least till the end makes it different.

The death of a sinful man is already required. We are already sinners so we owe our flesh to pay the penalty for OUR sin.
Christ was perfect as only God is and did die to pay the penalty for all who accept his atonement.

Your wife children and all those you love will still eventually pass away...those who accept the atonement God provided will live forever.

Although it is noble to die for others, men only face their own death. Jesus took the pain of death for all mankind.

It is following Christ's example of course, but it does not compare to what He did, nothing does! They way He died, no one can compare-- but to put others before ourselves is exactly what we should do! Just as Christ loved us that much, we should too love others more than ourselves--- Just as Jesus says in the Bible- John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
But as someone said above, the resurrection of Christ is the main point of His gospel message- and his death was completely different than that of us dying for a loved one. We cannot save a loved one from hell can we now? Only God can do that.

Christ's sacrifice was effective only because he was completely righteous. Imperfect blood cannot atone for another's imperfect blood. Each person has their own debt of sin that they cannot pay, so it is even less possible to propitiate for another when one's own death does not even suffice for himself.

Read Hebrews chapter 9.

2Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Of course it isn't. Jesus was God made flesh. His death on the cross pays for our sins. A person dying for another cannot wash clean the sins of that person. Only faith in Jesus Christ can.
