*No they do not work.

*Here are some reasons:

.Lack of communication (seeing and/or talking)
.Trust issues
.Cheating
.Little to no sex
.Hardly ever see each other if at all.
.You start to get bored, and lonely.
.It can make you sad to not have them around if you go out on a group date.

**There are other mentionable things too, but those are just the ones off the top of my head. I have had long distance relationships and they've all seemed to fail, because of a majority of the things I mentioned above.**

.~I am not saying that everyone and anyone who has a long distance relationship, that it will fail just b/c mine did. But the odds of it working are against you.
...Unless you two are OVERLY deticated to each other, then I cannot see it going anywhere.

...So I think you would be wise to find a boy that's closer to home, and that way you can see him all the time and talk to him.

.....hope it all works out for you.

I have been dating my bf for over 7 years and for 5 year LD. It has not been easy, but I can tell you that it is worth it. We talk almost 5 times a day, just updating each other about what we have done throughout the day. It makes it seem like we are in each other's lives. It is important to keep communication lines open and let feelings come. I know this is going to sound cliche, but if it is meant to be, everything will work out!

it is not really an option for a relationship unless you can meet regular and even then it may run it,s course and fizzle out BUT who can say........if you keep level headed about it then you just might end up with a life long friend ...anyway one never knows as i have a 4 year relationship with Austrian lady and it,s for keeps but the distance is only 1000 miles by car or 2 hour flight

From my own personal long distance relationship it didn't work but who knows it could work for you... It all depends on the couple. If you do break up then at least still be friends then because there may be a chance that you could hook back up.

They CAN work, if you are both committed to it. I was in the United States and My boyfriend(now husband of 11 years) was in Australia and we made it work. Met after a year, got married, had kids and have a wonderful life together.

It will not work, he is seeing someone in Sri Lanka or will soon find someone and will be good bye to you.

We weren't that far apart but my wife and I were in different schools(she was in US and I was in Canada) and we made it work. Neither of us cheated because we were so in love. We have been married for 15 glorious years now.

They do not work out at all. How can they. You dont ever see each other. Its not going to work. You cant trust each other b/c you are both so far away.

It won't work unless you move closer to each other. Find someone in your area and spend real time together.
