Yes, I sometimes do get mad at those kind of people. Action makes what you are. Good action results in a happier existence, unless the good action wasn't "meant." If someone says he or she is Christian just because he or she goes to church, he is not Christian. That goes for any religion. Unfortunately, I've heard that churches are becoming more of a social thing than a spiritual one.

It does not make me mad it makes me sad. I look at it this way if they are in church where the word of God is preached then the Holy Spirit will let them know where they are wrong through the message. We don't go to church because we are good we go to church to learn more about how we are suppose to be. Pray for him. I have been in church a long time and saved for a long time now and I still get sore toes at church services, and I thank god for every sore toe I get because it shows he cares.

Yes, it does really make me mad, but there are so many people out there who do that. Patting themselves on the back for it too. That is a sign that the Lord is coming back soon.
I agree with TAMI, those are the reasons I go too. and I would like to add, going always makes me feel better, more peaceful I guess.
Also, I know a lot of people who CLAIM to have Jesus in their heart and they are not good people.

Yes, there are lots of hypocrites in church. We can either spend time with them here on earth on Sundays or later in hell every day. I choose to spend every Sunday sitting by them - I hope you do to.
But your point is very important. Going to church, "acting" Christian, belonging to a religiion will not get your relationship with God reconciled. Only making Christ your Lord and Savior will do that.

Going to Church is an act of obedience to God, and doing it hypocritically doesn't make someone good.
I don't go to church to be more or look more righteous. I go to Church because I am made the righteousness of Christ when I am born of God, redeemed by His Blood. I go to Church because the Lord wants me to go. And God blesses me when I praise God in worship service and also blesses me with the Pastors preaching. It usually always makes me feel better & renewed.

It doesn't make me angry...it makes me sad. A lot, A LOT of people (especially those who are middle-aged or older) believe they are going to Heaven because they go to church. But they're as lost as anyone else who doesn't have a genuine relationship with God.
And what's worse, they think they're on the track to salvation.

It doesn't make me mad, it gives me the impression that they are lost. I have compassion on them, because they're in sin, and being hypocrites, and they don't even seem to know it. I want to help them see the truth so that they will have a good relationship with Christ.

He's not a waste of time and space because he's God's creation. At least he knows what he needs to do to be a Christian. One day, God will open his eyes- just pray for him (even though it might be really hard at first).

It's worse when people are only Christian on Sundays.
That's even more annoying.
