I have really dark brown eyes and I have never been able to find any contacts to cover up the brown. I want blue but would settle for green also...well the light brown color is pretty too! But anyways I have seen a few people I know with eyes as dark as mine that have bright blue contacts to cover up the brown. Does anybody know of a good website to go to order some or what brand/type is best??

My daughter has brown eyes and she got gray ones that made her eyes look blue. Ask the doc for trials so you can see which brand and colors will work for you. I wouldn't go for ordering online until you've gone to a doctor and know what works for you first. Good luck!

There are contact lenses with a light blue iris already on then, and the area you see out of is about a 2mm size hole. These type of contact lense are not good especially for night use. The reasons is your pupil opens up at night, but the opening in these lenses will not allow you pupils to work properly under dark conditions. The contact lenses which are clear with a blue tint, is not really a convincing blue color. It looks fake.

I have dark blue eyes myself, and I wear Sapphire blue contacts. Now they do not completely cover all of the brown, but enough to where it is not that noticeable. The brand is Acuvue 2 Saphire Blue.

Dont do it. They always look so cheap and fake no matter how 'good' the brand is. Brown eyes are beautiful- and certainly more beautiful than fake green or blue contacts.

I'm afraid I can't answer your question, but your posting brought my own experience back to the fore. Please be cautious when wearing the colored contacts. Because of the coloring, they only allow a small point where you actually see through them. I work at night, and my vision was often distorted because of the natural dilation of my pupils causing my eye to try to see through the color. It messed with my depth perception so bad that I finally gave them up.

i have brown eyes and wear blue contacts sometimes (I am at work so don't remember the name), they were purchased over the net from an optical contacts company...I wear glasses so I got them with zero correction...I don't really like contacts so i only wear them sparingly...i also like my prescription sunglasses so that is another reason i went zero correction...they work great and have never had an issue with them.

If you need a prescription lens then better go to opticians.
other than that.
