if you connection speed support high speed, you can improve ur download speed. You have to forward your router/modem port for torrent , check www.portforward.com you can find more detailed information there.

Well, that's slow even for dial-up. It might be that you've got a lot of other downloads going, or several other people are downloading the same file or are on the site at the same time. Those servers only have so much bandwidth and you have to share it with everyone else. Try it at a different time and see if that speeds it up.
Really hard to say without more info.

Your share ratio needs to be at a good percentage, so don't clear them from the seeding list after you download, let them stay there and share with others.
Also look for current trackers and make sure they have lots of seeders, no leeches.
