Not sure what nonullas is...left that word out. Perhaps it was supposed to be non (not) + ullus -a -um (any)?

He quickly placed (not any?) jewels in a sack. Then he hid himself behind the pile of jewels. Soon the monster returned with other jewels, and he settled in the nest.

Nonullus = an elision of 'non nullus', a double negative - translates as 'some, several'.
