ST VITUS'S DANCE, or Chorea,it is the name applied to a disorder of the nervous system occuring for the most part in children, and characterized mainly by involuntary jerking movements of the muscles. The name St Vitus's dance was originally applied to those remarkable epidemic outbursts of combined mental and physical excitement which for a time prevailed among the inhabitants of some parts of Germany in the middle ages. It is stated that sufferers from this dancing mania were wont to resort to the chapels of St Vitus, the saint believed to possess the power of curing them. The name was transferred to the disease at present under consideration ,with which has evidently nothing to do,and the original application has been to a great extent lost sight of. The term Syndenham's Chorea is also frequently applied to this disorder to distinguish from huntington's choreaa disease of hereditary nature which appears late in life and is accompanied by mental defects.

CAUSES, Chorea is a condition resulting from involvement of the central nervous system by the same factor as are responsible for acute rheumatism. It is more common in girls than in boys,in the proportion of. Like rheumatism it is rare under the age of three years and uncommon under the age of five years. In other words ,it is a disease of school life.

i don't know about that dissease but it could be something like ADHD (atention defisit hyper disorder) thats what i have. when i dont take my meds i go crazy i cant stand being still for 2 seconds. Does he ever stop in mid sentence and forget what hes talking about, or when he talks some times does he start talking real fast, and a big thing does he have a really hard time concentrating or focasing (sorry if i spell something wrong). If its yes to some of these questions then tell him to talk to his doctor about it and if it is when he is on medication for it he will be almost normal
well i hoped i helped you and i hope its not something to seriuse.
good luck (by the way its awesome that you care!)

Youre probably thinking of parkinsons.

However they'res some Mayo Clinic research that says fidgeters are good at keeping weight off.
