Can anyone tell me how to make homemade potatoe chips. I would like the recipes or websites please. I want one that makes plain and cheddar sour cream.

Homemade Chips:

25 min 5 min prep
4 servings

1 baking potato, Unpeeled
2 tablespoons fat-free Italian salad dressing

1. Preheat oven to 500°F.
2. Lightly spray cookie sheet with vegetable cooking spray.
3. Slice unpeeled baking potato into very thin slices.
4. In bowl, toss potato slices with dressing until evenly coated.
5. Arrange potatoes in single layer on cookie sheet.
6. Bake about 20 minute or until lightly browned on both sides, turning once after 10 minute.

Take a firm potato and slice VERY thin (if you have a food processor a 2 mm blade should do it) Rinse the chips in ice water and put a few at a time in a deep fat fryer (around 325). Fry a couple of minutes or until they are mostly floating and nicely brown. Drain well and salt (pop corn salt works best). For the cheddar sour cream look for flavored pop corn salts

Sweet Potato Chips

2 sweet potatoes (long and thin)
1/2 cup canola oil
Kosher salt

Peel sweet potatoes and slice into thin rounds. Heat oil in a shallow pan. Place enough chips to cover the bottom of the pan. Be sure to keep the flame low enough so as not to burn the oil, but high enough as to not let the oil cool down. Turn chips once or twice, being sure to brown on both sides. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Lightly salt and serve.

USE DEEP FRYER WHILE OIL IS GETING HOT TAKE POTATOES CUT THEM VERY THIN DROP INTO HOT OIL AND FRY LIKE U WOULD FRENCH FRIES THEY ARE TASTY [PEANUT OIL IS THE BEST OIL TO USE ] I SHOWED MY KIDS HOW TO THEN L HAD TROUBLE KEEPING POTATOES IN THE HOUSE
