Hello to everyone, so I am constantly cold throughout the day and night. I always feel like I need a blanket or coat around me and sometimes even then I am cold. My kids tell me all the time mom your going to run me out of the house, its too hot in here (I am still cold.)! It can be 70 degrees outside and I will have the heater on. I am 33 yrs old I have had some medical condtions such as a full hysterectomy and things associated with that. ANyways I dont understand why I am so cold all the time so does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
peace

I would get your thyroid checked and get your iron levels checked. These are the two obvious reasons. Another common reason is people who diet all the time or are anorexic or skip meals will feel cold. Some medication can make you feel cold like Sudafed and betablockers like Atenenol.

I would ask your doctor about a iron deficiency. I get cold all the time too and i am border line anemic due to not enough iron. However he just told me to try and get more iron lol and it's ok to be cold when it's 32 most people do ;) but tiredness would also affect you if you were anemic...i would check with you doctor about poor circulation as well. Pretty much ask your doctor cause relying on a web page to help diagnose you you will get lots of answers and most of them might not even be right...but still dont get stressed by the answers you do get.

YES, I do have a suggestion. Go to your family doctor and get a thyroid test. Being cold is a common symptom of hypothyroidism. Is your skin dry, your hair thin and breaking off, and do you gain weight without eating much? Are you also tired and feel depressed sometimes?

anemia has to do with low blood count/sugar and makes you cold all of the time.
