This is Gods gift to us that we can have free speech-would God -to use the parlance of our times-f*ck with us?just to test our faith?
I believe he did the same to some poor dude-telling him to kill his own daughter -just when he went to do it-God said he was testing his faith-would you feel that was fair?

I think that your concept of God is very archaic, God sent you with the mission to accomplish, test to pass, this is for your own evolve, most of the time people has the signs, and the signs again from God not to do something but simply they do not have God in their hearts so they go and for example marry the wrong person, the when simply life become logical and you have to take what you seed then people go and complain to God.

It will be nice if when you speak about God can avoid the word f*uck in the midle. Thank you.

Most of us we have clear signs everyday, who we are, why we are here and what God would like from us, we didn't come here for having a good car etc, these are only tools.

When you understand first yourself, then you can know who are you, why you are here and in this harmony the understanding is quite easy.

what? do you mean Abraham going to kill his SON? You're not making much sense. If I were to die and find He wasn't real, how would that make Him unfair? If He doesn't exist, He can't be fair or unfair. Make up your mind.

I know that God is 100% Just and Loving. If you're asking if I'd regret living as a Christian if God wasn't real, I'd say no. I am satisfied living the way He tells me to. I see the negative consequences that come from doing the things He says not to do. I don't obey out of fear of hell, I obey because I love God, but also because I see that His ways make the most sense of how to live.

If when I die there is no God, I will never know that because if there is no God there is no anything.
So no, I won't feel cheated because I will be in no state to feel anything at all.
You've got the facts wrong, it was Abraham who was told to sacrifice Isaac--his son--and then God stopped him. He was making a point about child-sacrifice being wrong, as well as testing Abraham's commitment.
The point is, he DID stop him. No harm, no foul.
In this episode the child Isaac is substituted by a ram, caught in a bush by its horns. This symbolises the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of humanity.

If he did that to you for no good reason and you nevertheless enjoyed him, nicely it became right into a powerful element. Now do not take that the incorrect way, i merely advise that it wasn't meant to be and karma got here visiting to repair issues. you're able to not be heart broken some guy who needless to say did not care approximately you. Please attempt to recover from him and save on your head that he in no way extremely cared. you will locate somebody who buys you existence length teddy bears and roses someplace else, and doubtless he will love you returned. i'm sorry you had to be woken up out of your dream of a courting this variety, extra advantageous good fortune next time hun.

First of all, are you sure you read the story correctly? Abraham was told to sacrifice his son, not his daughter.

It was a test of faith and God never intended for him to kill the boy.

Abraham passed the test with flying colors.

So what's your point?

Are you assuming that there is some type of metaphysical existence possible for us after death even if God does not exist? Because if your framework is materialistic, such a conception is excluded, and if this is the case, one "feels" nothing after death, one simply passes into nothingness and oblivion.

I'd feel more cheated if there was a god as I would want to know how the hell (pardon the pun) he/she sleeps at night with all the evil in the world and why he/she let Bush/Blair into power!

If you don't have the answer by the time you die, you will never know the answer. The light of truth (the answer) is only seekable when still physically alive. Once this is obtained, the question is no longer relevant.

It is sadistic, but then so is letting your ‘chosen’ people wander around lost for 40 years while you systematically kill 80-85% of them; and so is drowning every human on earth except for one family, and most of every other living thing, as well; and so is unleashing all the plagues, famines, pestilence, and poxes at your disposal - not to mention the humiliation, torture, and crucifixion of your only son.

Believers accept WHATEVER God's Will is...who are we to judge the Father fair or not?

He molds us as He wills...we are but filthy rags, dust, clay....
