Yes, as with many religions, it is considered a sin to masturbate.
As far as the healthy thing goes - I'll just share with you my friends little story. He confided in me that he had masturbated frequently, and then he decided to stop...and out of the blue he started having those occasional wet dreams again which hadn't happened for the years he was masturbating. The moral of the story - if your body really needs to get it out, it's perfectly capable of doing so without your help.

is this really the best place to ask this? maybe try dating/relationships for more informative answers. But I'll give you what I know on the subject: You don't have to do anything "your man" tells you to - I hear they like it if you do, but it's really your choice. I don't think he would be offended if you didn't swallow. Lots of married (and unmarried for that matter) couples do it, but if you're not comfortable doing it I'm sure your husband isn't going to leave you over it, haha. And in time you'll probably get more used to the idea and comfortable with the concept as you get closer to that stage.

Any sort of "self-gratification" is pretty much a no-no. We all know guys do it, no matter what religion, at some point. The point is whether or not we can control ourselves...
No one, men or women, are supposed to self gratify themselves because like another answer, it can lead to more serious sins and also... what got that person all worked up in the first place? Probably not their spouse.
I think it is OK for married people to do that as long as the spouse is involved in some way.
If you have to ask if something is "wrong" it usually is.

Dilbert, you must understand that this position has been traditionally held by many religions. Singling out Mormons is just Al Sharpton-type behavior. Repent immediately or perish!

Yes.
As for that it is healthy, doctors use to say that smoking was healthy. The worlds view on heah is ever changing. God does not change. Whatever the world says, we believe that he has told us not to so we don't. It is a matter of faith.

Boyd KKK Packer once gave his "Little Factory" talk to young LSD men. Bad Bad Bad. Those guys never knew what hit them. I am glad I am not LDS.
