Apples are not "the fruit that caused the downfall"!
Movies and pic's portray it as an apple - who knows why. The bible doesn't mention any specific type of fruit.
And I like the comment about how if oreo's are wrong I don't want to be right!
lol

Not to my knowledge. I think that is simply thought that the apple was the forbidden fruit. Well, the mistake was already made, so, doesn't mean anything anymore. Just used as an example of disobeying the creator.

I personally love Oreos and apples myself. What we eat doesn't make us sinful. I don't know if I fall into the fundamentalist of Christianity category.

Apple is not the cause of the sin. In fact, that fruit has nothing to do with it. It is just a simple case of disobedience. It may not even be true that it possess the knowlege of good and evil, it could only be a test on how far can a man follow a simple order without being curious.
Just like you. Trying to make an impression as if you want to look smart by being curious to know how will the fundamentalists Christians will react to your question. When I can sense you know already the answer.

Why would that be sin? Are you referring to Adam and Eve? Well we don't know that the fruit was an apple...It could have been any tree grown fruit. As for the oreos, it is only a sin if you don't dunk'em in milk first. God bless you.

No it's not a sin to eat an apple. In fact the bible says in Genesis 2:16,17... "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of knowlege of good and evil, thou sahlt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

Later in Genesis chapter three it is called the fruit of the tree.
So from there it's just a fruit, not an apple.

Oreos, no they are not a sin. I love dunking oreos in milk!!

By the way God Loves You!!!

Actually the bible NEVER said the fruit of the tree of life was an apple, I DON"T KNOW WHY PEOPLE ASSUME IT IS.
And yes it is about oreos:).......they make you sooo fat and you can't stop at just one its like sex or something. When you see them in the aisle at the store your just like "Oh I gotta have them, if I don't leave now I'll end up getting them." :) The same with soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies. I always end up eating the whole thing so I just do without.

The apples should be organic,in my opinion...oreos are tasty, but very acidic to the chemistry of the blood, which should remain at a constant Ph of 7.365....

Why would it be a sin,to eat either? Figs are ok now,as well.

God made apples for us to eat. Oreos have a lot of sugar/fat in them, so I avoid them.
