It seems I have to clear up what a question is-
"Christians, I think you only believe in god as you are scared not to?"
This is a question, for future reference to avoid confusion always look for the question mark. (?)

See that's where you are wrong, I believe in God cause he is my creator
You have absolutely no proof whatsoever for that statement.

"could be , but then again what will you do if a heaven and hell does actually exist and how will you justify your thoughts today as you stand at the feet of the almighty"
What will you do if it doesn't exist! And the almighty has 'feet' now? or is that another broader than broader general ancient anagram for 'he is everywhere' or some kind of metaphor?

I'm a Christian and I'm certainly not scared not to be. If I didn't believe then I wouldn't be one. Some people believe that a meteor crashed into the earth, wiping out dinosaurs. But scientists have discovered proof that it was a flood that killed them, supporting the story of Noah's ark. I personally have seen people being healed after praying to God. One person was being prayed for by a few people for the horrible bruise on his arm and as they were praying for him his bruise faded away before his eyes. Another person had a huge wart on her nose. She was prayed for and it just disappeared. These are true and I've seen many more things like this happen. This couldn't be a coincidence could it? The more you look into nature and the Christian faith, the more it becomes clear that God is real. Try finding out about it and soon you'll see. We're not scared of anything spiritual or fake. Look around you and see God's creations properly, and how amazingly lucky you are.

The really laughable and embarassing part is you actually believe the junk you are spouting here. You are dellusional. You say christians can't prove God does exist, however atheists or pagans can't prove he does not exist. Pick a side and stick with it, we will see what the lineup looks like on judgement day. I am sticking with my savior. If you are so "grounded" in what you believe why are you hear simply trying to debate every answer? I guess you are a know-it-all, I have a feeling the enemies side will be full of your kind. I pray you do some real soul searching and stop allowing your desire for justification of everything distort the real truth!

I would think everyone's beliefs include an element of fear. Atheists fear that following any God is pointless. Christians either fear hell were they to give up their faith or fear missing out on having God for this life if they were to reject Him - I know I fear that last one, even though intellectually and from experience I don't have any doubt that God loves me enough not to let me just walk away like that. That's how love works in any relationship.
Fear is part of human nature, whether it's a rational fear put into words and called "concern" or other words or a feeling of fear. It's a good thing to have. It makes us prudent about doing stupid things. Everyone has some fear, whether they admit to it or not. Otherwise many wouldn't bother with clothes and would grab anything they wanted without worrying who owns it.
At the same time fear isn't the sole reason anyone believes anything.

Apparently you've never experienced the presence of God. I only even think about hell when some athiest brings it up. I think it is the athiests who are scared of hell, so scared that they constantly challenge Christians about it, hoping for a reason to be able to convince their soul that it isn't real. And I really don't think much about heaven either. The only thing that matters is Jesus, and loving Him.
I believe in God because His goodness is evident all over my life and really, everything around me. I see His love for me in the beauty of what He created. I see His hand guiding my life down the right paths. I see Him turning tragedy and helping me find the silver lining. God is as real as any human I have come into contact with. I can converse with Him at any time, and I know that He is right there, helping me through every day. I couldn't do it alone, I know that He is with me. :)

I didn't make my choice to become a Christian out of fear of hell. Trite as it may sound to you, I made my decision because I want to love God and become a better person with God's help.
Even if heaven or hell don't exist, and I believe they do exist, Jesus's command to "love your neighbour as yourself" is worth trying to live up to.

That's a statement, not a question, despite the presence of the question mark. Your beliefs are interesting and of course you are entitled to them. Thank you for sharing them with us!

i don't understand what you are going on about. obviously you haven't really read up on christianity. it appears that you haven't got a clue at all as to what christianity is if you think it is about it is based on heaven and earth and the fear of God. and why should we be embarrased? so long as you are not part of us the "laughable, diillusional and embarrissing" people that leave rest of us alone. we all make our own choices and i personally do not think it right to attack people so.

Really? You think I believe in God because I'm scared not to? Well that's interesting. I hope you will at least be able to hear this answer, even if it contradicts what you think.
I believe in God because I have never known a time I didn't feel His presence.
