i am 30 years old married with two boys, and i want another baby i want to try one more time for a little girl. and my last two kids i had problems were i almost died cause i was to small and i was suppose to have c-sections on both kids, but didn't but now i want one more baby and my husband does too, it is just my family they all have it in their heads i am not having no more cause of the last two times and they keep telling me, not to have anymore and go get fixed, my problem is i am scared they will all hate me if i have another one i know i am 30 and should do what i want but i don't want my family to hate me either, meaning my mom. any advice. should i just pretty much grow up and tell them it is my life and my choice and they will have to deal with it. or just not take anymore chances and not have another one cause of the past.i am so confused, and lost and torn between another baby, or my family..

I think you should take your family out of the equation, meaning, this is really a decision between you and your husband, and your family will come around and accept it.
With that said though, I think you need to think long and hard about this. YOu need to talk to your doctor about the risks. You have two children now - you really should not be doing anything that is life threatening to you. You have a responsibility to those two boys, and their lives are forever altered if god forbid anything happens to you. Make sure your doctor ok's it.
Also - there is a good chance you could have another boy. Please make sure you want a "third child", not just a little girl, because you may not get what you want.
I wish you the best of luck in your decision!

You answered your own question... yes, grow up and tell them it is your life! Seriously, your 30, a wife, and a mother of 2... why should anyone else have a say on how you live your life?
You and your husband want another one, that is all that counts. You both know about the past, how could you not, you were there... but if this is important to you why not give it a shot? This is your guy's decision ultimately.
PS. that is the stupidest reason for your family to hate you.

If both you and your husband both want to try for another baby- and you know the risks before doing it and are ok with that- then do it. Your family will understand eventually. And if you had these problems before as long as you have a sensible Doctor- then they can schedule a C- section for you so you won;t be in danger. Another baby is your family, remember that.

Don't do this to please your family. What I mean is, if you want another baby, go see a GYN before you try. They can check you out to make sure you will be safe during the pregnancy. 30 is still young,, and you should be able to extend your family if you want to. Go see a Dr. And get you that lil girl you want so very much. I plan on having me one more soon. I am only 22, but my hubby's family probably wouldn't be supportive. But who cares? You have this one life. And if you feel like something is missing, then fill in that void:)

Mothers worry - that's what they do. My mom has been convinced in each of my 4 pregnancies that I will DIE in labor... it hasn't happened yet! Your mother shouldn't "hate" you for having another baby - and if she does, you've got bigger problems.
Yes - grow up and tell them you're a big girl and can make your own decisions...
I had my 4th baby at 32 and don't plan on stopping any time soon...
BTW - I would NOT have c-section just b/c you had difficult deliveries. You've done it vaginally twice - you can do it again!! That is always healthiest if possible.

If you want another baby then go for it. If you are supposed to have a c-section then get to the hospital before you start labor and have a freaken c-section this time. And about your mother, you can't live your life always worrying what people think. Your mom will love you no matter what, if she wants to get angry, let her. she'll get over it.

Josie, listen to me carefully...
if you are not supposed to have babies the regular way and are supposed to have C sections, PLEASE listen to the doctor!! My cousin was supposed to have a c section with her second baby and refused and she lost so much blood that she is now braindead, cant walk, talk, move. Dont let that happen to you, follow the doctors orders.
If you want another baby then have one. You dont want to regret not having another later. but what if you have another boy? Would you consider adopting?
good luck

I doubt your mom is going to hate you for having another baby. She is probably just worried about losing her own baby (you!) You need to do what you think is best. Weigh all of your options and talk with your doctor about the benefits vs. the risks. If you then think it is appropriate to try again...go for it.

You can if you want and hopefully it turns out okay! :)
A friend of mine is 36 and is 28 weeks pregnant. People told her that she could never have a baby at her age but they were wrong. Anyone that tells you that you can't have a baby because of your age is full of it (there are people out there that are mean like that but don't let them discourage you!) Good luck to you and yours!

The family you should be thinking about is the two kids you have. Consider how your death might affect their lives. Your doctor should be able to help you understand what level of risk you would face.
